UCC Season 18 Predictions

Group A - By Stephen

b0rn.gr3at - CK - great player n was last seasons champ for Ucc.... He is one of the best in y.pool right now but let it be known he dose slip up time 2 time if u can put enough pressure on him as this is groups i dnt see it happening, adam will b gunning you down for top spot here but im gonna say you'll pip him with only dropping 1 set.

S_T_O_N_E_D - Alex - really dont know anything about you so im guessing you are fairly new, this is a tough group to be drawn into so cant see you really see you doin to well.

ll_plan_ll -Rob - seen you in up quite alot n seen some of your games from wat i did see ur a decent player and here if u want a chance of making playoffs you'll need to try n get something out of jesus n jose to have any chance.

optimus.price_xl - Jesus - good player when he wants to be, is more then capable of beating anyone but he dont do it often enough in my eyes.

adambuddy -Adam - well my good old buddy! plays with me for x8b and i've had battles with him lots of times. is a good player and can beat anyone one his day he is a great safety player and has worked on his running big time these last few months witch for me has made him more of a force. Only thing with adam is he dose not pull out the same form in playoffs as he dose in groups, always at the top end of groups n i dont see it bein any different here. The set vs ck will decide who tops group

KingBilly_99 - Billy - not seen you play. had a lil look around and looking at results in other comps i'll be suprised if u pick up a single point. sorry :D

PRO_BOY - Jose - is a good runner wen he is on his game but i have not seen u play much lately if im right u have won a cam comp befor but im not so sure you'll be able to really give ck and adam a go. my guess is you will be fighting with jesus and maybe rob for the last spot.

Group B - By Stephen

Maxbite -Max - dont know you. was looking at you results in 8br div b and sorry but it really don't say to me your gonna do anything special here

run_it_down -Jason - one of the better div b players. from wat i've seen of ur quite gd and will be fighting craig and rod here

nish_the_nub -Nish - dont know you....... my hunch is you'll keep sets tight but will fall near the end of sets. gl prove me wrong :D

TheGod6969 - Craig - former 8br div b winner n div b ecc winner more of a safety player rather then runner but can run with gd sucess, has been on a break and just coming back into coms. this is not a hard group so i think you'll do quite well here

cc.chicky - Missy - average shooter and is fun to play against. if you can get a good start by not playin rod or craig first and get some points you'll have a good chance of sneaking into playyoff. sets with missy are norm always tight and she will beat you if u take he to lightly is one of the better women players in my eyes.

Dr_Smoke420 - Rod - good player only played u once. back then you were quite a slow player but it works! had decent cue control n good safety play think your gonna win the group but might have 1 or 2 slips. gl

the_lvlag1cian -Ben - well what dont i know about captin Ben!? can be gr8 some days can be crap others. if u get over this theory that tr is against you and start thinking u can play against gr8 players and do well you'll start doing much better in comps. Your a good shooter and ok at safety sometimes you try n run way to much n will get stuck, if u can slow ur game down a little n dont try runnin unrunable tables you'll do well here not the best of groups so make me proud :D <3>


GROUP C - By Snooky

_Brimstone_ (Pascal)

Ah, my old friend Pas, it's good to see him still active in interleagues and cam comps after all these years. Ask anyone from back in the day and they will tell you he was one of the top Yahoo Pool players. Some say he is not as good as he used to be but I think I will disagree, all he needs is a bit of extra warm up and he can give any of the big guns a close set. He can come up good in both tap games and open games, and this group is not one of the hardest, apart from PC, so there is no reason why he can't qualify for the playoffs easily. The match with PC is probably the one that will determine who gets into playoffs with the top seed. Prediction: 2nd.

Zach_23_ (Zach)

Zach is a decent player, with a good track record in cam comps. He prefers a slow, safety-first style of game that could tire out the lesser players in this group. Anyway, apart from the top 2 here I believe the ecc admin can beat just about everyone else, as long as he avoids big mistakes; If he does, qualification is his. Prediction: 3rd.

p00l_charlie (PC)

PC.

Prediction: 1st.

ll_pool_rookie_ll (Manny)

Manny is another old school player who has the ability to put up a good challenge in this group. He is at home in both tight and open tables and if he can make his experience count, and limit his mistakes to a minimum he is in with a good chance of making the playoffs. Prediction: 5th.

xl_bankqueen_lx (Kerry)

Kerry is definitely one of the nicest people you are likely to meet in Y!Pool, and always a pleasure to play. Like her ID says, you can never underestimate her banking skills. Anyone who does is in for some trouble. Yours truly has witnessed what happens when you don't play your best against her, and several other people have, and chances are at least one of the 3 people predicted right above her will not be listening closely, and so harming their playoff chances in a big way. Can she cause an upset in this average-strength group and grab that 3rd place for herself? Unlikely, but you can count on her giving it her best shot. Prediction: 6th.

EasyRun (Sid)

Well I have been looking all around the cam comp sites for info on Sid, but not much luck. Looks like he is a newcomer to cam competitions, but brings with him good experience in interleagues. What matters here is if he can carry that experience into 10-game sets. If he does cope, and if people underestimate him I can't see why he couldn't win a set or two at least. I am predicting you last here, but this is only due to lack of information and not having seen you in play. All the best in your first ucc season, I'm rooting on you to prove me wrong :) Prediction: 7th.

l_lost_my_marblez (James)

James has made his name in interleagues playing for a good team (x8b), he makes occasional appearances in cam competitions and usually does pretty well in them. He does make some bad mistakes, but in a set of 10 you can always make up for it, and this group is not the toughest anyway. I believe the final playoff spot is within his abilities, but might just miss out. Prediction: 4th.


Group D - By Snooky

GetBiz (JC)

I have not really had a chance to see JC in play, but going from his recent results in cam comps, they are not terribly impressive. So I believe he will struggle in this group that is pretty evenly matched (in a good way) for the most part. Try to give it your best shot, use the experience for future seasons, but above all, have fun! Prediction: 6th.

bmx.justin

Not sure if this is the Justin I am thinking of, but judging from his performance last season in wcp where he reached the semis, he is not someone to be taken lightly. But this is a talented group for the most part, and unfortunately not everyone can make playoffs. Still, I think he will put up a good fight here, and could be rewarded with a wildcard in the end. Prediction: 5th.

Sorry man but I have absolutely no clue who you are. Predicting you last until I find out more, if this is your first cam competition, try your best to have fun, and gl here :) Prediction: 7th.

ll_ketan_ll (Ketan)

Ketan is the type of player who, on a good day, can be a threat to the establishment. He has many years of interleague experience behind him, and finally made good in 8brcam, becoming the first ever SP/UP player to win a cam competition (I should be jealous of him but I am not, we both know I can do better than that). His biggest weakness is choking easy shots. If he can keep that at a minimum, he is very capable of beating Jason and Justin to the 3rd spot, if he doesn't, that could get him in trouble. Prediction: 3rd/4th.

british_pool_wizard (Jason)

The 2nd Jason in this group, brings with him valuable experience that I think will carry him through to the playoffs. He favours the safety game, which will definitely not make it easy for any of his opponents here, and he has what it takes to challenge even the top two players here. But even if he fails to make the top 3, I am betting on this group to provide one of the wildcards. Prediction: 3rd/4th.

kingvaughan (Ross)

If you have been involved with interleagues at all in the past few years, chances are you will have bumped on Ross. Even though he spends most of his interleague time on the organisational, rather than the playing, side of things, and I have not seen him around UP much lately, I still believe in his ability to win when it matters. Even though this group has some good players in it, his skill and experience will carry him to 2nd place, behind only MJ. Prediction: 2nd.

MJ_The_King (MJ)

Well, every group is not complete with 1 or 2 top class players, and it is generally accepted that MJ is one of them. Provided he takes everyone seriously, he will have no problem cruising into the playoffs with the top seat in the house, and then deep into the playoffs. MJ, this group is all yours to win. Prediction: 1st.


Group E - By Snooky

diosmaradonaforever (Nelson)

Nelson I believe only recently returned to ypool activity and cam comps, after being away for a while (at least I had not seen him for a while...meh), hopefully he is not rusty because he will need to be at his best in this pretty tough group. Making playoffs is probably too much of an ask, but upsets do happen and there is no reason why he cannot cause one. Prediction: 6th.

mvp_realm (Shawn)

Simply put, Shawn has been on fire lately, reaching the QF in wcp last season, and now storming through his 8brcam group. Although there are some talented players in this group, there is little that can stop him from getting a top 2 spot, and fighting it out with Kev for #1. It will surely not be easy, but I think he has the quality to do that. Prediction: 2nd.

s.ymmetry (Perry)

Perry is a solid player, plus he is a nice guy to play and one of his strong elements is he can keep his cool, which is important when facing tough opponents. However, this is a tough group and although he will fight hard for the 3rd place, I see him falling just short. Would not be surprised, however, if he got a wildcard in the end. Best of luck fellow SP! :) Prediction: 4th/5th

duketd7 (Tyler)

Sorry, Tyler, but you really got a bad deal here. I am expecting you to put up a fight in th is group, and make people work for their wins, but actually getting a result is beyond you, I am afraid. But keep your head up, and try to make the most of the experience! Prediction: 7th.

u_got_no_skillz (Stephen)

On any average group, Stephen qualifying for playoffs would be a near certainty. But this is more than an average group - he will need to be at his very best and focus hard to have a realistic chance of a top 3 spot. But Stephen is error prone at times and I think this could cost him. Like I said about Perry, though, a wildcard is within his reach, and I see the two of them fighting it out for 4th place. Prediction: 4th/5th.

xl_gameover_lx (Kevin)

Well, with Kevin you pretty much know what to expect. The man loves his porn, he loves winding people up, and he loves his pool. You may lose by quite a margin, but still find it a fun experience. What is the only thing that could keep him from easing to a 6-0 and the top spot? mvp_realm and his own self, perhaps. But as long as he doesn't underestimate people, and doesn't make sloppy mistakes (which he does at times but he still knows how to get the result in the end), Group E is his to win.

1dk (DK)

DK is another player who seems in deadly shape lately. I hadn't seen him in cam comps for a while now, but he is back with a bang, taking out last season's wcp winner, Conor in rd2. This just shows that rust is not an issue, and if he can perform as he has done so far this season in wcp, he won't have many problems taking the 3rd place. Ending up any higher will be tough, however based on Kev and Shan's recent form. Prediction: 3rd.


Group F - By Stephen

x_powerplay_x - Shane - well played u a few times n dont think much of u. to how u play off cam n to how u play on cam its like two different people and for that i dnt see you gettin anywere.
messy.ryan Ryan- average player. think you might struggle or could give an upset or 2 kinda got it u will be fighting not to be last thou. sorry n gl

leeds_united24 - Jon - good all round player can run with the best of em most times i see you doing very good in this group with prob only 1 lost set
sergio_zarate_7 Sergio- well this guy has been about for ages in my eyes in all cam comps. when he gets a lead can sometimes be a tough opp if you take him lightly he'll beat you. saying that he dose tend to mess up runs leaving an open table.

mvp_sicc - Ant - well dnt like this guy never have. i think he is an arrogant prick. As much as it hurts me to say he can back up it up and is 1 of the best of all time (grrrrr)!!!! i dont see him dropping any points and this is just a warm up for ant as it'll be the playoffs were he starts to take it seriously.

invite_player - Gage - well dont really know you but asked about. from wat i was told ur a pretty solid player and will be fighting eric and jon for 2nd n 3rd

v_real.deal_v -Eric - my x8b. bud :D im banking on you to get the last spot here! eric is a good player and can get out of almost any safety will try and run tables from the start but he knows wen to stop. he has just won ecc so will be itching 2 do good here. If he keeps his head and dont lose points to ppl he shouldnt he'll get thru ez.

Group G - By Kevin [gameover]

newfiepoolking - Joey, when i see him he never plays sets ever so i doubt he will here, if he does he will beat the lesser players with eaze and struggle vrs Marcel and jamie but he wont play i bet on it. because i know he wont play sets im saying. 7th

Drill__ - Marcel - Hes on a good run the now, doing great in 8brcam and when i play him he plays some smart shots, good all rounder and defo contender to top group along with jamie. 2nd

xlx_britishpoolking_xlx - Jamie is a good player, one the top players on his game but sumtimes loses focus and loses the odd silly set, if he keeps usual head on he will only be fighting marcel for #1. 1st

indiana_elite - Indy , i dont know this kid but seen him around and by looks of things just an average player like devilstature or killah_jason, but in this group should maybe get at least a W.C or 3rd spot. 3rd

wanks_and_banks - Sean , maybe i know u and maybe i dnt, only know 1 sean and hes a decent enuff player. but if ur just another sean then who knows what ull do here but ill go midway for u and go ona limb. 5th

xxl_aquearre_lxx - Oliver - this is jesus cousin and maybe he will get jesus to play for him, who knows, u know what cosuins are like, not seen him play but going on this ill just say he may get
a few wins if he plays. 4th

katee.winz - Kate - is just averageish player, nuffin special but watch she doesnt open her legs flash her clit and put u off ur game, keep ur mind on pool ull get win. kate needs to get a few breaks but doubt it. 6th


Group H - By Kevin [gameover]

maintain.composure - Corey, dont see him playing much, plays sum nice shotz whenever i play him but seems to rush and loses games if he played a lot slower would have won, needs to try calm it. 3rd

superb.shot - Snooky - Snooky can play great, shit and inbewtween, beat Tanmay in WCP which i didnt think he could so can cause sum upsets. not bad potter but makes too many mistakes. 5th

c.ueball - TJ - well in this group of average players here is anuther one, will prob get to playoffs but thats because group isnt tht strong, will fight with a few for 4th spot

r3dneck_pride - Cody - only know one cody and he is so shit even JD can beat him, so im going to say ur him even if ur not, so cody u need to learn, cue control, spin, shot choice, why just give up cause u never will. 7th

sixohtwo - Kevin , here is Mr retirement who is still 0-3 on me on cam may i add, suck tht one kevin :x good player but is a banger who gets great luck, so watch out, BANG BANG BANG. 1st

Super Cool Dude - JD - average player, loses a lot but talks shit like he is even on the level of a top 50 player, hes prob ranked #261 on ypool cam id say, should get a few ez wins for rest of ya. 6th

TlNO_NICA - Tino like snooky he has a few diff modes, plays great sumtimes and then others he gets trounced on, needs sum consistancy but in this group he could find it and get a good few wins. 2nd
